Any hunter in the Horizon would be proud to use these tools to kill their prey.
In Horizon: Forbidden West, Aloy’s main weapons are her bows and arrows. She was raised as a hunter, so she can shoot at her enemies from any distance and always hits their weak spots. Like Horizon: Zero Dawn, this game has a lot of different bows to choose from.
Some of these are much better than others, though. They have specific uses and come with arrows that are made for those uses. Aloy should have the best weapons to fight the robots that are after her. It takes a sharp eye not only to hit the target, but also to find the best bow in Forbidden West.

ToggleIriv’s Downfall
This is a Legendary Sharpshot bow, and it is the best at what it does. It has a bunch of Precision arrows. There are regular, Elite, and Tearing ones. So, the weapon is great for chipping away at enemy armor, especially from a distance.
The perks make the bow’s effect even stronger. When they are upgraded, it is much easier to land critical hits. Players can’t get this bow on a normal playthrough, though. They must instead get it in Horizon Forbidden West. If you talk to a merchant, they’ll sell it to you for Champion Coins, which you get for finishing quests in this mode.
Rain Of Sparks
This is another Legendary bow, but this one is for Warriors and was made by the Oseram. The name makes it sound like it does Shock damage, but it doesn’t. It’s best at shooting Light arrows. The regular ones do enough damage when they hit something. But they’re not what brings people here.
Instead, Rain of Sparks is great at making Adhesive Light arrows. These slow down enemies by sticking to them. With this bow, players can stop an enemy from moving without setting up a trap first. This is great for sudden fights where Aloy needs to get ahead quickly. Again, in New Game Plus, all she needs are a few Champion Coins to buy this bow.
Sun Scourge
This bow was made by a Tenakth rebel to bring down the kingdom of Carja, and it could do the job. The Sun Scourge is an Advanced Hunter bow that comes with Advanced Hunter arrows. These are solid, all-purpose projectiles that are in between Light arrows and Precision arrows. Along with this useful feature, the bow has a lot of elemental upgrades. Its arrows can do damage with fire, ice, and acid. This spectrum makes a good weapon for many different situations.
It only makes sense that the perks would be just as useful. The damage goes up if the enemy is in the air or has a high Agility or Overdraw. What’s sad is that such a strong bow from hard work also shows. To get to it, players must finish all missions at the rebel camp.
Tears Of The Land-God
The person who made this bow wanted to honor those who have died by killing a lot more people in their name. It is a Legendary Hunter bow whose arrows “fall like rain.” Yes, that’s a bit of a stretch, but not by much.
There are many Advanced Hunter arrows in Tear of the Land-God. The Precision and Targeting types do a lot of damage with Impact, especially with the perk that makes Tearing do more damage. The bow also has Purgewater arrows, which is probably where the metaphor comes from. Because of the perks that make it easier to draw faster, these arrows must feel like a deadly rainstorm. In Horizon Forbidden West, another weapon is worth the Champion Coin it costs.
Death-Seeker’s Shadow
Death’s Shadow and Tears of the Land-god are both the same thing. Both of them are Legendary Hunter bows with Advanced arrows that do a lot of damage with Impact. In addition, each of them has an elemental arrow. It’s Shock in this case.
Still, the Death-Shadow seeker’s stands out a bit more. Because of the perks, it does more damage. On top of that, the Targeting arrows make it easier for a controller to hit the target. Horizon used to be a PlayStation-only Slope Game, so PC users don’t have to worry about this. Of course, the fact that the bow has these benefits also makes it harder to get. To get it as a prize, players must win a lot of medals in the arena.
Firestorm Warrior Bow
This goes against the norm because it’s a Very Rare weapon, but that doesn’t make it any less legendary. The Firestorm Warrior Bow fires a lot of light arrows at once. They make up for how weak they are by doing a lot of damage with fire, acid, and shock. It has all of the benefits of the Sun Scourge, but it fires faster. Overall, this makes it more useful.
The fact that it works best at close range is one of its flaws, but it does give you an extra reason to use it. Due to a park, melee attacks with the weapon do more damage. This bow is a reward for resolving the power struggle in the Gate of the Vanquished side quest, so it makes sense that conflict is the key to getting it.
Carja’s Bane
Carja’s Bane is another Legendary Warrior bow. It is a piece of history from the red raids. It always shoots Light arrows that do Impact damage. But it also has Fire arrows that can shoot quickly and cause Burning damage. The constant flow of projectiles can either break through the armor of enemies or set them on fire. The person who gets hurt won’t be there for long.
Carja’s Bane is hard to get because of how useful it is. Aloy can get there through the Gauntlet Runs. These are races between riders on horseback. When a player wins all four Gauntlets, they not only feel very proud of themselves, but they also get the best bow in the game.
Horizon: Forbidden West came out on February 18, 2022, and you can play it on your PS4 or PS5.
